LIASA Awards 2012

Various awards were issued at the recent LIASA Annual Conference duirng the AGM held on Thursday, 4 October 2012.



  1. The President's Award for Best Branch went to the Free State branch, followed by Mpumalanga and Gauteng North.

  2. The award for Most Improved Branch was awarded to the Mpumalanga branch.

  3. An award was also made to the branches who grew their membership by 25% or more as part of the 2012 LIASA membership campaign. These were awarded to the Northern Cape and Mpumalanga branches.

  4. As previously noted, the LIASA Librarian of the Year award was awarded to Theresa Denton of the Western Cape branch, 1st runner-up was awarded to Nellie Somers of the KZN branch and the 2nd runner-up prize was awarded to Shirley Xulu of the Mpumalanga branch.
